Just a short post today since not too much new to report as we are now into the heads down mode doing analysis on what we have found out and beginning to structure and write up our recommendations/report. The only major challenge we have had on the project is the afternoon loss of physical energy (sometimes electrical power too) we all experience as we stare at our computers trying to be productive in the heat of the day. If anyone is coming to India on CSC please strongly consider bringing an extra laptop battery. Mine has come in very handy!
It seems others on the India20 team have also had a few technical challenges. Malcolm has documented some of them in his blog here.
Will finish this short post with a few quick photos I took yesterday of sights at the centre. Will post again later.
Keith.

I have the same problem just after lunch. Seems my energy level is as low as it can go. When I look at the kids there it’s hard to recognize them as living in slums. How do they keep so clean and neat? luv dad

Good question. I have asked how do they keep clean. The answer seems to be three part:
1. Parents have huge pride in their children and do everything they can to get them clean before sending them to school. If they come to school without proper hygiene, etc. the it reflects bady on them.
2. Mothers work very hard and handwash everything all the time. CONSTANT work and cleaning in a dirty world ( Rain have stopped for past 5 days so mud is gone but now it’s dusty 😦 )
3. These photo’s are mostly of the children in the Slum that is more devleoped than other slums CCT serves. In this area there are actual structures people live in. In the Rag-picker slum that I’m going to again this afternoon they have sticks and tarps to live under. So I think the pictures I might take there will not show clothes quite as crisp and you have been seeing in recent images.
